cleaning and conception

in the last 2 days i've been cleaning my office. almost ready now. the initial idea was to put things in 'the right place'. many things were not...they were all over the place. so..in order to find things again...to structure my life at least a bit...cleaning the office would help.
however it turned out into a 'throwing away activity'. my office looks almost empty now! why to have printed versions of documents that you might need to read one day again? most of them are in my computer and if not somewhere on the web! why to keep your cute little tape-recorder? what to do with your box with overhead sheets? all these publications on shelfs which you anyway have to download when you want to copy and paste a quote from? do you really need a printer in 2011? all these boxes full of CD's? throw it away!!!
well...you can overdo it of course. a bit risky when you get too much in such a mood. so...kept my printer! just bought it 6 months ago! but see all these emptiness!!

tomorrow 8th of december so immaculate conception!!! to be honest it took me many years to be now only confused with the dates. it just never crossed my mind...but today it did. i'm just not very good in all these religious days. but still today i concluded that this pregnancy was very short! i think even a mouse takes longer! wiki-pedia explained it all. seems many people have this 'short pregnancy' thought. that's why they explain it. that's what wikipedia is for. to be honest i think the explanation is lousy. i'm not gonna put it here. look for yourself. (maybe you already knew...most people turn out to be much smarter then i am)
it leaves me again with the same question: how it it possible that the excuse of a simple carpenter for having sex without a rubber still keeps us busy after more than 2000 years?
