heroic thinking

It's the hyena of the garden, the non-swimming shark! Twice every year I have to take my weapons up to cut it. I don't even know the name of the plant but in the end I'm always covered with scratches and blood. It has these nice looking pink flowers but that's only misleading. It grows frightening fast. If I wasn't the brave man I am this whole apartment building would be covered by this violent plant within two years. So... did it again...tamed the beast! Washed the blood from my arms, hands and legs.

While doing my heroic work was thinking about 'things to do again'. In the last weeks I was too much focussed on all the 'new' things I wanted to do. But why not do things again that you didn't do for a while:

* eating pancakes at Oude Gracht Utrecht
* sleeping till 2 o'clock in the afternoon
* riding a horse (well would be my first time but did once ride a donkey...)
* a first kiss
* jumping from a rock into the river (or sea)
* baking an apple cake
* being on stage with a band
* seeing 'Kramer versus Kramer' (and see when the first tear will appear)
* same for 'When a man loves a woman' (the movie...not the song)
* getting into an unstoppable giggle
* drinking a coffee in the New York caffee in Budapest
* getting drunk in Haademeste
* writing a letter (with a stamp and all)
* getting a letter delivered by the postman ( I mean a real one!!)
* eating pancakes with aunt Jo (well....can only happen in heaven)
* going to an Elvis Costello concert
* playing volleyball

Well...getting in the mood now....
